Summer Parking & Outdoor Pool Use

For the safety and security of our campers, members and staff, we ask that you please read through the following and abide by these rules. 

SUMMER TRAFFIC PATTERN & PARKING

As always, we ask that you please drive carefully in our parking areas. Please observe the summer traffic pattern outlined below during camp drop off:

🚫 NO ENTRANCE between 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM at the YDEAC/Camp Greenknoll campus gate.

🚫 NO PARKING in the drop off zone behind the Greenknoll Branch during specified times below.

 

CAMP DROP OFF       (drop off begins 7:30am) 

Traffic Pattern from    7:00am-9:00am    Monday-Friday 

🚗ENTER ONLY: Driveway Entrance at Front of Building.

  • Follow the driveway around the building to the back.
  • Your child will exit the car to the Camp staff members located at the Drop Off area (starred in the picture below).
  • Drivers will then proceed to the exit.

🚗EXIT ONLY: Driveway Exit at Rear of Building – DO NOT ENTER HERE

CAMP PICK-UP         4:00pm–6:00pm    Monday-Friday 

Camp Parents: Park in the rear parking lot. Proceed down the stairs to the Pick-Up Tent to sign your child out (starred in the picture above). BRING YOUR ID.

🚫 Members: Please do not park in the rear parking lot during the pick-up hours, as there is VERY limited space and HEAVY traffic flow during that time.

 

USE OF THE OUTDOOR POOL/YDEAC FACILITY

The Outdoor Pool is open to members during specific hours of the day, as well as for Mako Swim Team practices.

PARKING & ACCESS   

Morning lap swimmers who park at YDEAC must leave the camp grounds before 7:00am. The driveway gate closes promptly at 7:00 am.

🚫 NO ENTRANCE between 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM at the YDEAC/Camp Greenknoll campus gate.

Members must park at the main branch and walk over the bridge, follow the sidewalk and enter through the YDEAC front doors. Do not enter through side gates.

CHECK IN   

Members must check in at the Front Desk before heading to the locker rooms or pool. This is for the safety and security of our campers.

LOCKER/RESTROOMS

Throughout the camp day (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM), campers of all ages are actively using the YDEAC locker rooms and restrooms. We kindly ask that members use discretion when showering and changing in these shared spaces during those hours.

SAFETY & SECURITY

While the Outdoor Pool is open specific times for members, the camp grounds are not open to members or visitors during the camp day, including the picnic tables and playground.  For the security of our campers, members are asked to stay within the pool gates and on the sidewalks only.

OUTDOOR POOL MEMBER SWIM TIMES

During arrival times for Member Swim and the Mako Swim Team, our campers are actively transitioning through the area. For the safety and security of our campers, please do not arrive at the Outdoor Pool or pool building before the designated times below.

Lap Swimming

Mon-Thurs         5:00am – 6:30am

Fri                     5:00am – 6:00am

Family/Lap Swim

Mon–Fri           12:15pm – 1:45pm       → Do not arrive before 12:15 PM.  Must leave the lockers rooms by 1:50pm.

Mon-Thurs        5:30pm – 8:30pm     → Do not arrive before 5:30 PM

Fridays            4:00pm – 8:30pm        → Do not arrive before 4:00 PM
