With so many demands on today’s families, parents need all the support they can get. That’s why childcare at the Y is about more than looking after kids. It’s about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self- reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, responsibility and respect.
At the Y, kids are offered a wide range of opportunities and activities to nurture their interests and explore the world around them. Our year round, experienced staff provides students with academic support and a safe nurturing environment critical to academic success. Our focus on Healthy Living and use of the Food and Fun Curriculum promotes good nutrition habits and allows for plenty of opportunity for physical activity on our large outdoor playgrounds and fields. Bethel School children arrive and depart on Bethel School buses and the YMCA provides transportation to and from Shelter Rock, South Street, and Ellsworth Avenue Schools.
Registration forms can be downloaded here or picked up and dropped off at the YMCA Children’s Center in Bethel at 57 Grassy Plain Street. Please call ahead to verify there is space available for your child this session.
