Toddler Specialty Summer Programs

Summer is a time for kids to be kids. At the Y our Specialty Summer Programs are a great way for young children ages 2-4 years old to explore and discover new interests. Children develop new friendships and have tons of fun in a safe environment. Programs run 3 days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 9:30AM – 11:30PM . Check out the upcoming 2024 Summer line-up of programs offered at the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut Annex Building.

These camps are great for tiny campers who might not be quite ready for a full camp experience but are ready to start slow! Each week will have a different theme for weekly learning and activities.  

  • Ages: 2 – 4 *toilet training not required 
  • Days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday  
  • Time: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM 
  • Location: Greenknoll Branch, Huisking Room
  • Price per week: $100 for members, $150 for nonmembers  
  • *Space is limited to 12 children.  

 

Week 1: Under the Sea

  • Jun 17-20

We’ll be taking a deep dive into the sea and investigate some of the creatures that live there.

Week 2: Lost in Space

  • Jun 24-26

We’re taking a trip in our favorite rocket ship to learn about the solar system.

Week 3: Creative Artists

  • Jun 31 – Jul 3

Explore your creative side and get messy as an artist this week.

Week 4: Sports Week

  • Jul 8-10

Every child has an inner athlete. We’ll learn about different sports and even try some in the gym.

  Week 5: Tiny Gardener

  • Jul 15 – 17

 We’ll learn about plants and even pot our own to take home this week.

Week 6: Mini Chefs

  • Jul 22 – 24

Cutting, mashing and cooking! We’ll make some different tasty treats and learn about different foods.

Week 7: Summer Safari

  • Jul 29 -31

Lions, tigers and bears, oh my! We’re going on a summer safari to learn about different animals.

Week 8: A Bug’s Life

  • Aug 5 – 7

We’ll explore the word according to the tiniest creatures and learn about the many different insects around us.

Week 9: Superhero Training

  • Aug 12 – 14

Bummer for the end of the summer! We’ll train our tiny superheros to conquer the upcoming school year.
