Bring a friend or family member and get ready for a fun new year! For the fifteenth year in a row, the Regional YMCA is pleased to offer the Lose to Win program. Lose to Win is a 12-week program designed to help you lose or maintain your weight through physical activity and nutrition education. Grab your fitness friends and build a 6-person team, or meet some new friends by asking to be placed on a team. Lose to Win is a team-oriented competition, but the emphasis is on YOU.
Each week, you’re encouraged to meet goals involving physical activity, attend nutrition classes, and various group-oriented challenges. The challenges allow you the opportunity to explore new areas of the facility, attend new classes, and be part of a tight-knit family, all while working towards your individual goals. In previous years, members have lost 8 inches from their waist, and lost 12% of their body weight. More importantly, participants created lasting behavioral changes such as reading nutrition labels before they shop, reducing their sugar intake and understanding correct portion sizes.
